Olaf Rode: An empathetic host
As Maître, Olaf Rode has been the host at Hugos since its beginning in 2003. High above the throbbing city Rode creates an oasis of peace and quiet for his guests. Rode's first rule is empathy for "every guest is different“. His esprit and charm give every guest the feeling to be welcome.
Olaf Rode co-developed the restaurant's concept and built up Hugos into one of the culinary top addresses of Berlin together with star chef Thomas Kammeier. It is their personality and passion that also leaves a mark on the young service team at Hugos. Rode fulfills wishes and sets an example of living the credo of "his" restaurants which is to create the perfect ambience for an inspiring culinary experience.
